Cristina is a certified psychologist, psychotherapist, coach, art therapist and an artist at heart. She began her education in the field of art and then acquired specializations in Psychopedagogy, Art Therapy, Psychological Kinesiology (Physical-Psychic Integration) and Psycho-hypnosis. Over more than 30 years, she has practiced Kum Nye meditation based on Tibetan Buddhism, at the Nyingma Institute (Sao Paulo) and that became a part of her way of life. She is also certified as facilitator for Transformation Game, from Inner Link Frameworks, Scotland.
With an aim to incorporate an element of transformation through creative experience, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly to help them meet their inner soul while using new colours and shapes that fulfill them. She has dedicated her life to studying Human Development Psychology, applying it mainly in the areas of Mental Health, Art Therapy, Jung’s Psychology, Quantum Activism, Games and Creativity. Much of what she has learned about child psychology was by nurturing her own children while they were growing up and, working with them, she has been able to navigate through challenges while discovering creative maternal actions.
Between 1988-2002, she was Professor in Specialization courses at Instituto Sedes Sapientiae: Psychopedagogy and Art Therapy; between 2009-10, she was a Research Professor at the Research and Graduate Studies at Universidade Potiguar, UnP. Assimilating this knowledge, she then founded the Alquimy Art Research Center in 2001, which provides training in Art Therapy. She has also designed and coordinated Postgraduate Courses in Art Therapy in different Brazilian cities, between 2001 and 2018 in partnership with various universities.
She is the author of many books and articles published in Brazil and globally and served as a coordinator of the Art Therapy Collection at the Casa do Psicólogo publisher.
Cristina worked as consultant and coach in personal and professional development. She underwent coach training program at Instituto Ecosocial between 2010 and 2012. She is certified as MBTI Facilitator Step I & II. She participated in the foundation of the Day-spring Program: Conquest of the Feminine, conceived by Renata Define de Oliveira and Deolinda Fabietti (2010-2015). She is currently attending Meta Integral Certification Program and pursuing her post doctorate in Quantum Sciences in Health, Happiness and Prosperity.
Member of the Board of Directors of AATESP – Art Therapy Association of the State of Sao Paulo (2008-2016) – and its representative at UBAAT – Brazilian Union of Art Therapy Associations, she served as Chief Executive Officer of the UBAAT Executive Board (2012-2015) and as Coordinator of the AATESP Research Commission (2010-2013).
Cristina was able to bring the Brazilian reality in exchanges with Health Professionals in many International Congress. Since 2006, she participates at the International Honorary Board of the International Symposium on Complementary Supportive Therapies “Art and Science in Life Potential” in Croatia; and between 2007-2011, she was Regional Brazilian Global Representative at ECArTE’s – European Consortium for Arts Therapies Educational -.
She believes that to live is a spiritual path and works to bring to life the Archetypes of Love and Integrity.
